What we offer

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy restores and maximizes strength and flexibility after an injury. We work on improving muscle and tissue function using manual techniques, modalities (ultrasound, shockwave, dry  needling, interferential current, muscle stimulation, etc) along with exercise to help you resume your function and activities. We work with you to help you get back into life.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave Therapy:  This treatment uses an acoustic pressure wave transmitted to the body tissue and, consequently, to the painful area.

It works to trigger the body’s own natural healing response, to reduce pain and improve mobility.

Benefits of Shockwave Therapy:

• Helps in the healing of muscle and tendon conditions
• Deals with scar tissue issues
• Reduces calcification and fibrosis
• Is effective for pain from nerve damage and helps to strengthen
  muscles and tendons
• Helps in reducing muscle spasticity and improving motor function

Neurological

Physiotherapy

Neurological injuries such as acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injury or stroke, affect a person’s mobility, impairs their function and can cause pain and spasticity (tightness). Physiotherapy works on rehabilitating these physical impairments.  By understanding each person’s goals for therapy, we can work with you to make meaningful changes to the way you move, feel and function.

It is also important to remember that as well as suffering from a neurological injury, people need to manage the aging process.  Physiotherapy can help a person to age well with a disability, by helping to keep strong and flexible in everyday life and reduce secondary health problems.

Aquatic Physiotherapy

Water therapy can make it easier to achieve specific results before they are realized on land.

Aquatic Physiotherapy can be carried out in a community pool, to help you to make the best use of the principles of water resistance and buoyancy in achieving your therapy goals.

Aquatic Physiotherapy is relaxing and can allow more freedom of movement with the help of the water. It can also be beneficial for pain management, allowing for more painfree movements than can be achieved on land.

“Hope is the most potent of medicines, one that can heal and rejuvenate.”

Referenced in the future, grounded in the past and experienced in the present, it involves the expectation that life will be a little more meaningful tomorrow.” – J Mader
